During the winter months, the Santa Marina Retreat hosts a variety of football teams from all over the world. Grassed football grounds are maintained during the winter season to accommodate these teams for their daily training. Teams that have trained at Parekklisia in recent years include. Liege, Everton, Polonia Warsaw, Lekia Warsaw, Spartak Moscow, Torpedo Moscow, Russian U18, Lada Samara, Constructoral, Sherif Moldova, Dynamo Kiev, Orlan Offenbach Kickers, Karpadi Ukraine and a number of local clubs
