Riding through Cyprus villages...
Horse riding is available for riders of all ages and levels- including children. Our riding stables have quiet horses for beginners who are just building up their confidence and dressage horses for experienced riders.
Guests have the opportunity to ride through traditional Cypriot villages,
mountainous areas and through unspoilt countryside with qualified escorts on our "Kentavros Ride" the minimum age for this is eight years and the Kentavros Rides are available in 30 minute, one hour and two hour durations..
Riders can improve their skills with a course of lessons in the Horse Riding
Arena that include a variety of exercises.
For younger chilren over five years ( and measuring at least one metre in height) we we offer the Pegasus Ride which gives them the unique chance of having a go at horse riding on one of our quiet well-behaved horses in the safety of our arena.
The child is escorted at all times and parental guidance is required. Pegasus Rides can be booked for 10 or 15 minute durations.

The largest Private Stud Farm In Cyprus
Mr Elias Onoufriou, the owner is the biggest racehorse owner and breeder in Cyprus and was ranked first a few racing seasons ago with a total of 54 winners.
There are 250+ horses on the farm which is incorporated in the Santa Marina
Retreat and there are stallions, brood mares, foals, riding horses, show jumpers and of course our riding school horses! The Retreat has its own practice race course where the racehorses can be watched as they train early morning and late afternoon during the week. A horse pool, horse walkers, lunging ring and exercise track are some of the facilities available for daily training.
A day at the Races...
Make the most of a day at the races. Our racehorses are transported every race meeting to the Nicosia Race Course. Members of the Retreat have the opportunity to accompany Mr. Elias for an exciting day at the races. This is an excellent opportunity to see live racing and if you would like to try your luck, you can place a few bets with the help of some tips from the locals. All of the race horses from the farm have a name with the prefix Elias .so why not place a bet on the horse that you fancy? Keep your fingers crossed!
